At Eco Khaolak, we feel it necessary to provide a large natural habitat for retired work elephants to have a place to live out their golden years. The Hillside Retreat is nestled in the serene and majestic setting of Khao Sok National Park. Here you can enjoy some quality time with these gentle giants and help by giving them a shower, prepare their food, and feed them. You will board a bamboo raft for a journey down the Sok River to view it’s unrivalled beauty on the way to their habitat, learn step by step how Thailand’s rubber plantations are harvested and be introduced to many Thai herbs used in delicious Thai Cuisine in the herb garden at the retreat.
