We really enjoy living there.
The room is clean.Whole environment is nice as well.
That's near the floating market.

Located along Amphawa floating market

Thanicha resort is just facing the canal.We were advised by the resort to consider visiting on a weekday as there was no floating market.But we went ahead from Monday to Wednesday and the whole place looks like a sleepy town because almost alll shops are closed.Only a few street hawkers is opened on the other side of the canal (a short walk).
There was really nothing to do but we took many nice pictures of Amphawa and we went to see fireflies at night on a boat on the 1st night.(60 bahts/person on a shared boat)
We roamed around the village and took a songteau (10 baht/person) to the famous Maeklong train station to see the hawkers retracting the shelters when the train arrives.We also went temples hopping (2-3 hrs depending on how long you intend to stay at each temple) on a boat which we rented for 500 bahts.
The resort is nicely decorated and we stayed in a family room which has 2 queen size beds facing each other.We have to climb stairs to our room and the hidden lift is only for luggage.for The receptionist at Thanicha speaks English and said there is a very great difference between weekdays and weekends visit.However,we did appreciate the natural view of plants,people and their way of life in this rural area.
Unless you really want to enjoy real quiet vacation in this village on weekdays,otherwise come only on Friday and weekends to soak in the vibrant Amphawa flaoting market.

The service was good and room was clean enough to take a rest. The market is really closed to the hotel.
